I confess, I’m a straight up vintage fiend. I love those free weekends spent in London, sifting through racks and racks of ’50s lace dresses, ’70s knitwear and ’80s floral finds. There’s always a golden goodie to be found within the heaps of clothes and accessories.
All of my vintage finds are some of my favourite fashion pieces. One of my precious finds is a vintage tan leather laptop bag i found for £8 ( especially since finding out that brand new would cost £250!). I also managed to bag some gorgeous vintage Lacoste knits and some stunning Ferragamo’s for a good price as well.
Here is a list of my 5 favourite vintage stores in London, which are a must-go if you’re interested in finding a vintage bargain! These shops are normally quite hidden so be sure to carry a map around with you.
1. Beyond Retro
Perfectly located in the heart of the vintage, art and music scene – Brick Lane, East London. Drawing an attractive number of art and fashion students, stylists and indie kids. Humorously labelled as “selling dead people’s clothes to meet the sartorial challenges of east London’s beautiful people.”
The array of apparel that they store in their warehouse-converted-store makes it easy for you to find something to fall in love with. More than half of my vintage clothes have been from there because of their extensive selection of stunning items.
Definitely check it out and have a gander if you’re heading towards that area. The beloved Spitafields Market is just around the corner too!
Pop in if you get the chance at 110-112 Cheshire St Reflextion House London E2 6EJ

Also located in Brick Lane, this cute and cosy shop has a bundle of accessories that are to-die-for. With bags and necklaces hanging from everywhere possible, it’s hard to find something you don’t like! They also stock a lot of vintage designer labels, including Chanel, Dior, Versace, Gucci and much more!
Get your hands on some Vintage goods at 15 Hanbury Street, London. E1 6QR.

3. Rokit
The ultimate place I go to if I’m looking for a pair of Vintage Levi’s cut-offs – the number of cut-off shorts and skirts from Rokit could probably fill the backseat of a car. Their selection of scarves and sunglasses are fabulous to rummage through as well.
They have a few stores around London but my favourite is definitely in Covent Garden, the staff are friendly and they usually have whatever I’m looking for!
Check them out here at 42 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9HZ

4. Three Pound Shop
I’m a sucker for bargains and all things cheap, and this is the perfect place to get that cheap thrill if you’re craving something Vintage. The only downside is that you may have to rummage quite a bit to find something you’ll actually want but it’s definitely worth it.
You can find them at 28, Pembridge Road, Notting Hill Holland Park

I love the feeling of helping other people, and what’s better than getting things that you want and also contributing to charity?
If you’re lucky you can stumble upon some amazing vintage finds in charity shops that are dotted all around the country. Most things are extremely cheap as well so it’s definitely worth a visit if you happen to walk past one.
